N ICE4 Decoder Installation Selection

Service for your N ICE4 Train:

As a special service offer, Kato USA will be offering special DCC installation services for customers who own the N Scale ICE4 High-Speed European train in Analog who would like to have it upgraded to either plain DCC or DCC & Sound! Availability of decoders is limited, so this service will only be offered to roughly the first 50 or so people who contact us for this service!

Sound + DCC features you can expect:

Both end cars from the 10-1512A set will be upgraded with DCC to retain directional lighting when on a DCC system!
Zimo Quality Sound: the motor car from either of the two sets (or both!) can be upgraded with a specially designed and programmed Zimo DCC decoder with a sound set made for the Kato ICE 4!
Matching Zimo motor control: Either motor car can also be fitted with a specially designed motor-control-only decoder that is programmed to match the speed step and momentum of the alternative sound decoder, so if you're using both you can ensure that your train will run without a hitch!
We'll cover the shipping*: For customers inside the continental US, we will not only cover shipping of the set to you once it is finished, we will send you a prepared box with pre-printed postage and instructions to ensure that your precious train gets to us safely!

How it works:

Pick your preferred installation - Choose whether you'd like sound installed in one car, both motor cars, or just regular motor conrol and lighting control for your base set. Place your order using our easy to use online shop!	We'll send you the box - perfectly sized and filled with packing materials and with the necessary postage included, so all you have to do is box up your set and leave it with your favorite postal worker!
Give us a week or so to recieve and then perform your installed - once we have your set in-hand, we'll begin the process of installing the DCC set-up you have requested. Give us a little time to make sure everything works out and is fully tested, and soon it'll be on its way back to you! Pricing Options:

Sound Installation (1 motor car) $199	We will install a ZIMO sound decoder and speaker into one of your ICE4 motor cars. This cost includes the decoder, speaker, installation, and free shipping both to and from your home in the continental United States.* This can be doubled up if you have both ICE4 sets, or you can couple this installation with.... Motor Control DCC Installation (1 motor car) $99	... if all you want is for standard DCC installed, or if you have both sets and only want sound in one of them, we can install a ZIMO motor function control decoder into one of your ICE4 motor cars. This cost includes the decoder, installation, and free shipping both to and from your home in the continental United States.*
Head end car lighting control DCC Installation (2 end cars) $70	Of course, if you're having sound installed in your ICE4 you'll probably want the end cars to be properly converted to DCC as well! We will install directional lighting control decoders into both end cars of the ICE4 set so you can retain the directional lighting on a DCC system, or even turn the lights on and off at will. This cost includes two decoders, installation, and free shipping both to and from your home in the continental United States.*
