For Amtrak's 40th Anniversary, a number of special "Heritage" paint schemes were applied to Amtrak locomotives - GE P42 #145 is painted in a heritage Phase III Scheme that gives the locomotive a sleek black back and the original Phase III stripes, giving it a look that is sleek and modern while using vintage design cues. |
