"Road of the Streamliners" and "Serves all the West" were the slogans of choice adorning the Union Pacific NW2's during the 1950's, one written on each side of the cab. |

More than just a name: The B&O and C&O Chessie NW2's differ in more than the lettering on the sides of the locomotives. B&O unit 9509 has its number painted onto the front of the cab. |
 |
Here you can see a good side shot of the Chessie logo and B&O designation. The locomotive matches well with the Chessie Caboose as well; Small switchers such as the NW2 were often combined with a caboose to run as a mobile railroad office. |

C&O unit 5278 in action; with the addition of the caboose, this replicates a journey the NW2 might have taken on a branch line instead of a strictly switching role, perhaps moving the covered hoppers between yards. |

A maintenance technician does some late night work on an NW2's headlight. Note the lit numberboards on the sides of the light fixture. |

Here you can get a good view of the clear windows on the NW2's cab; the NW2 has full interior cab detailing despite its small size. |
